Agility Award 2025: Get Your Application Started in 3 Easy Steps

March 7, 2025

It’s here, finally!! After a longer wait then usual, applications are now open for the Agility Award 2025. This is a great fund to apply for, particularly if you are an emerging artist. While the Arts Council are now accepting application, don’t rush your submission. There is plenty time to submit your application for the Agility Award well ahead of the deadline.

Here are my top tips for starting your application for the Agility Award

The Arts Council likes to keep us on our toes so they almost always bring in new conditions for applications. Last year they introduced bonus points for first time applicants but took away the ability to apply for both the Artist’s Bursary and the Agility Award in the same calendar year. This year, you can apply for both but only if you have yet to receive funding from the Arts Council as an individual for the first time.

Which leads me nicely to my first tip

Read The Guidelines

Be sure to take the time to read all the guidelines carefully so that you can make sure that this is the right fund for you

Attend An Information Session

The Arts Council will host a total of 6 online information clinics starting on the 19th of March. This is a great opportunity to hear from the horse’s mouth what they are expecting and a chance to ask questions (and hear other’s questions) Find all the dates and register HERE

Know Your What & Why

Before putting fingers to keyboard, put pen to paper and decide what goal you want this fund to help you reach. Then start thinking about what you’ll require and why it’s so important to your practice. Et voila, your Agility Award application information will be clear as day!

Making these applications can feel overwhelming and frustrating, I get it. Start with these three things and you’ll find the process a lot easier.
